2026 General Auditions Announcement!

Hello friends of Winnipeg Mennonite Theatre,

We are excited to announce that we are gearing up for our next season.

In the fall of 2026 from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25 we will be presenting four performances of the award-winning play, Marion Bridge by Canadian playwright Daniel MacIvor. It tells the heartfelt story of three sisters reunited for their dying mother’s final days.

In the spring of 2027 from Friday, April 16 to Sunday, April 18 we are happy to announce the comedy Bare Bear Bones by Canadian playwright Michael Grant. At the instruction of their marriage counsellor, empty nesters Norm and Ruth book a trip to a place where the remember being in love, the Bear Bones Family Campground, in order to rekindle their spark.

We are holding general auditions for these two plays and for WMT as a whole. Auditions are open for both actors and production crew members of all skill levels and talents. Auditions will be held on Friday, May 1 (6–9PM) and Saturday, May 2 (12–5PM) at the First Mennonite Church of Winnipeg, 922 Notre Dame Ave. All auditions are by appointment only. Please visit our website here or see our audition notice here for more information.

Lastly, we are proud to unveil our new website, wpgmennonitetheatre.ca. Please update any of your old saved bookmarks as the old domain, winnipegmennonitetheatre.ca, is no longer being used.

Thank you for your support in the past and as we go into our next seasons. For 54 years, WMT has presented drama, comedies, and musicals, and we plan on continuing for many more years.
